REHAU / Minimal PVC sliding windows
SLINOVA X
A slim REHAU sliding system with a 32 mm central meeting section, designed to maximise glass area and natural light in contemporary residential spaces.

KEY PARAMETERS
Judge SLINOVA X first by geometry and the way the opening will actually be used.
Its strength is the slim central interlock and a lighter visual expression, but it is not an automatic substitute for an HST or a minimal aluminium slider. Opening size, frequency of use, threshold expectations and climate all matter.

PROFILE CROSS-SECTION
SLINOVA X profile geometry in detail.
This official manufacturer image reveals the system's profile geometry, chambers, thermal breaks and glazing zones. The final junction is selected for the opening scheme, glass build-up, dimensions and project loads.

ARCHITECTURAL USE
Where this system makes sense.
REHAU publishes acoustic performance up to 37 dB, air permeability up to class 3 and watertightness up to 7B/6A in laboratory configurations.
32 mm central meeting section
The defining feature of SLINOVA X is the very slim visible line between two sliding leaves. It creates a noticeably more transparent appearance than conventional PVC sliding systems.
RAUFIPRO X
The slim section is stabilised by a glass-fibre reinforced composite. This allows REHAU to reduce visible profile width without simply reproducing the geometry of conventional steel-reinforced PVC.
For the right scale of opening
SLINOVA X is not a substitute for large HST systems or minimal aluminium. We specify it where a slim PVC slider of moderate dimensions is appropriate and very heavy moving panels are not required.
Glass and solar control
With a high glass-to-frame ratio, Ug, solar factor, safety and acoustic performance become critical. A good profile value alone does not prevent overheating in a large glazed opening.
ENGINEERING
The profile is only one part of the window.
REHAU’s published Uw value of 1.2 W/m²K relates to a specific 2350 × 2180 mm two-leaf test element with a defined glazing build-up. For an actual project we recalculate thermal performance using the real dimensions and glass specification.
How we engineer ↗HOW TO READ THE DATA
Six values that shape the result.
A catalogue maximum is not the rating of every fabricated element. Classes depend on size, opening scheme, glazing, hardware and the tested configuration.

We can check whether SLINOVA X genuinely fits the opening.
Send width, height and the intended opening scheme. We will compare SLINOVA X with HST and aluminium alternatives rather than forcing the project into one brand.
