An IGU formula is read from the exterior pane to the interior. The labels only make sense in the correct order and with the coating orientation preserved.

External 6 mm heat-treated neutral solar-control pane.
16 WE Argon
16 mm cavity with warm-edge spacer and argon filling.
6 ESG + 16 WE Argon
Heat-treated middle pane followed by the second cavity.

Internal 6 mm heat-treated low-emissivity pane.

Which surface carries the Low-E coating?
The glass manufacturer and IGU calculation define the coating surface. Orientation must remain clear in the order.
What does ESG mean?
Thermally toughened safety glass. It cannot be cut or drilled after tempering.
Can 6 mm simply be replaced with 8 mm?
No. Thickness changes mass, cavities, hardware, edge stress and profile compatibility.
