Orientation

Area and direction define solar-control demand and acceptable visible light transmission.

Impact zones, doors, railings, roofs and fall risk require different safety-glass strategies.

Size and mass

Pane thickness follows wind, support, production format and the installation route.

Ug, g-value, Rw and reflected colour must be balanced rather than maximised independently.

Can one formula be used for every elevation?

Only after review. Sunny and shaded elevations, doors and large fixed panes often require different build-ups.

What information is needed?

Elevations with orientation, sizes, room use, acoustic and thermal targets, and the desired visual appearance.

Who confirms the final formula?

The glazing designer and IGU processor should confirm it against production formats and processing availability.
