WARM EDGE & ARGON

Ug describes the centre of the IGU, but occupants often feel the edge. Spacer material and seal quality are most visible in that zone.

WARM EDGE & ARGON

LOGIC

How we read the task.

01

Warm-edge spacer

Reduces the perimeter thermal bridge and raises the interior edge temperature.

02

Argon

Works only in a sealed cavity and with a suitable cavity width.

03

Primary seal

Restricts gas and vapour diffusion around the spacer.

04

Secondary seal

Provides edge stability; its system is critical for structural or special IGUs.

FAQ

Short answers.

Does a warm edge eliminate condensation?

It reduces edge-zone risk, but condensation also depends on humidity, ventilation, temperature and the installation bridge.

Should argon filling be checked?

Yes, as part of IGU factory control. Gas content cannot be assessed visually on site.

Are all spacer colours equally available?

No. Size, colour and spacer type depend on the processor, formula and production constraints.

Need an IGU build-up for a project?

Send elevations, dimensions and room requirements. We will separate solar, thermal, safety, acoustic and installation criteria.
